Little Help from My Friends: Lemmy Bosshart Becomes a Dragon |

 EDITOR'S NOTE:
Recently, at the time of the Summer Solstice, the Isle of Wyrms had
it's regularly scheduled Hatching Event. This was an opportunity for
registered Wyrmlings and Hatchlings to win a drawing and become an
adult dragon. The adult dragons are distributed in a drawing, four
times per year, to retain the special nature of the very artistic
dragon AVs designed and built by Daryth Kennedy. This article is the
story of one SL resident who won in the drawing and made the transition
to an adult dragon.

I was not new to SL when my friend Rene showed me her Royal Wyrmling
and for what the riding saddle made for it. I liked it so much that I
wanted to have a wyrmling too. I entered contests to get the money.
Carlos supported me with some cash, he was very friendly. Then, with
the help of my friend Altariel, I bought a Fire Wyrmling. I showed it
to my friends. They loved it!
I spent some time with Rene, we explored, both as wyrmlings, some
places in SL. I enjoyed it very much. Altariel enjoyed the flights on
the saddle.
The Wyverns had been released one night before I bought my Fire
Wyrmling. I liked the creature with two legs and big wings, and weeks
later after I had money again I bought the Arctic Wyvern Hatchling, my
2nd avatar from the Isle Of Wyrms.
I loved to make jokes with adult dragons, like walking around the legs or saying words like "wanna mess with me? :P".
One day my friend Alicia offered me a Job as a Tour Guide at her new
Island, the Isle of Sicily. At that time, I have bought an Ice
Familiar, his name is Khimari.
Days before the Summer Festival started, my friend Aomei introduced me
to Alecto, who had a Storm Wyrmling. After a nice small-talk, we head
to the cathedral. Aomei was talking to someone with a jellyfish-ava
while I was showing Alecto my Ice Familiar. She liked it so much that
she bought one too.
The Summer Festival was big fun. I have met lots of friendly people
there. I joined the Top Hats at that weekend, they are good friends for
me.
Because I have to show the vendors, condos and houses at Sicily, I
wanted to carry the guests on my back while I walk. It was impossible
with the saddle of my Fire Wyrmling, this is why I bought an Arctic
Wyverling. I even asked Tyone, the partner of Alicia, if i could give
free Dragon-Rides on Sicily. He liked the idea. Sicily offers free
Dragon-Rides today.
One week before the Summer Hatching started I told all my friends that
i want to get an adult dragon. They all crossed their fingers for me
and cheered me up.
I wanted to get a Storm Dragon first, but it was one of the most wanted
Dragons on the Isle of Wyrms. This was the reason why I changed my
decision to the Hydra. And I was lucky. I have been invited to the
Cathedral minutes after Alecto told me about her success. I was very
happy for her. But I was thinking of Rene, who was not online that
moment. But she was successfull too, she showed me her adult Royal
Dragon the next day. I was glad.
When people come to Sicily, it doesn't matter if I am a hatchling,
wyrm-/wyverling or dragon, they see me and tell me that they like my
ava. I remember how I was at a freebie-place with my Hydra, and someone
IMed me "Nice ava, is it freebie?".
Of course I am using my human-ava as usual, but sometimes I am a
Hatchling, wyrm-/wyverling or dragon. It always depends on the
situation.
I am grateful to all my friends who supported me, especially Rene,
Alecto, Alicia, Tyone, Aomei and Altariel with her partner Araxas. And
of course the Top Hats and the Dragons of the IoW.
